Gurugram, May 15 (SocialNews.XYZ) Haryana government has been using Gurugram Metropolitan City Bus LTD (GMCBL) busses to give safe passage to foreign returnees from Delhi's IGI airport to dedicated quarantine centres in Gurugram.
The initiative was taken under Vande Bharat Mission of centre to bring back stranded Indians from different countries of the world in a wake of ongoing COVID crisis.
V.S. Kundu, the CEO of Gurugram metropolitan development authority said that 15 low floor AC busses are engaged for the purpose from May 9.
"We have transported passengers arrived from Dubai, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh and Riyadh to IGI airport Delhi and these busses are being used to transport them to quarantine centres," Kundu said.
"The arriving passengers will have to be under quarantine for 21 days in dedicated centres before being discharged," he said.
