Chennai, May 10 (SocialNews.XYZ) Tamil Nadu on Sunday saw two Shramik trains - one inbound and one outbound - and also an Air India Express flight transporting stranded Indians from abroad, said officials.
According to a Southern Railway official, a Shramik Special train from Maharashtra's Pandharpur arrived at Trichy with 969 passengers who were later sent to their native districts in buses after following necessary health formalities.
Similarly, a special train departed from Tiruppur to Bihar's Muzaffarpur with 1,140 passengers, registered and nominated by the Tamil Nadu government.
Meanwhile, an Air India Express flight from Kuwait landed at Chennai International Airport at about 9.30 p.m. with 167 adult passengers and four infants.
