New Delhi, April 25 (SocialNews.XYZ) Amid the nationwide lockdown, the Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) is set to conduct online pre-bid meeting via video link for redevelopment of New Delhi railway station.
In a statement here on Saturday, the RLDA said to carry out work seamlessly amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the authority would hold online pre-bid meeting on April 30.
The Indian Railways has entrusted New Delhi Station to RLDA for redevelopment with modern architecture, facilities and public amenities.
"This project will be executed with the private sector partnership by leveraging the real estate development potential above the station and on railway land around the station," it said.
The key objective is to provide superior passenger services and transform these stations into iconic standard-bearers of the cities on the basis of the public-private partnership (PPP).
On March 11, the RLDA floated the RfP (request for proposals) inviting bids for selection of consultancy firm, providing consultancy services for the feasibility study, detailed master planning, urban designing, engineering and preparation of detailed project report (DPR) for re-development of New Delhi Station. The tender is scheduled to be awarded by the first week of June.
"The re-development of the New Delhi Station is one of our ambitious projects. We will be conducting all pre-bid meetings through video link to fight the Covid-19 pandemic," said Ved Parkash Dudeja, RLDA Vice-Chairman.
"All queries will be answered on the spot or later by e-mails. We are also committed to ensuring seamless operations by extensive use of digital technology and shall be implementing the e-filing system shortly," Dudeja said.
