Dehradun, April 25 (SocialNews.XYZ) OPDs in government hospitals in nine districts of Uttarakhand will reopen from Sunday to provide treatment to persons suffering from various ailments since no coronavirus case was reported from there, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said on Saturday.
The decision on this regard assumes significance since incidents of diarrhoea and dengue witness an increase during this time of the year.
Rawat said that treatment for coronavirus infections would now be available at Mela Hospital in Haridwar, Doon Hospital in Dehradun, the under-construction hospital in Rudrapur, and Sushilraj Tiwari Hospital in Haldwani.
He said that an ministerial group was being set up to mull the issues of finding other sources of revenues to compensate for the losses suffered by the state due to coronavirus and to find livelihood avenues for people at the local level. Agriculture Minister Subodh Uniyal will head the panel.
Attempts are on to put the state economy on track by discussing with stakeholders in fields ranging from horticulture to micro, small and medium enterprises, the Chief Minister said.
