Light diya instead of taking ration, says Raj Congress MLA in viral video

Jaipur, April 19 (SocialNews.XYZ) A purported video of Rajasthan Congress MLA Rajendra Biduri asking a beneficiary to choose between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has gone viral.

As the respondent replies in favour of PM Modi and soon after, the MLA is allegedly heard saying them: "Go, light up diyas then and keep the ration here."

The video, seeming to be shot in a relief camp where ration is being distributed to the needy people during lockdown, was shared by Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on his twitter handle. In comments alongside, he wrote: "It is unfortunate to see Congress MLA from Begun Assembly, Rajendra Bidhuri commenting on the destitute while distributing food to them due to his jealousy towards the Prime Minister.

"In this sensitive time, when every unit of society is coming forward to help each other, the leaders of Congress are putting forward their political interests, discriminating in giving food to the poor. Very embarrassing."

The video is also been shared by other senior BJP leaders.

BJP state President Satish Poonia also questioned the language been used by Congress MLA.

"Congress' government has been following policy of appeasement during the global epidemic. It has been proved by this statement of MLA who is seen asking the beneficiary to put down her ration and go back and light diyas as she answered in favour of Modi," Poonia said.
