Chhattisgarh government has procured South Korean high-quality rapid testing kits at ₹337 while the Andhra government paid ₹700 as per AP government for 1 lakh kits. Apparently , the Vendor or Distributor is the same “ SD BioSensor “ for both states! The opposition is calling this a big scam.
The only difference is AP govt says they got it directly from South Korea and the final price is still in the negotiation while Chhattisgarh govt got it from South Korean company in India.
Not sure how AP govt is still negotiating final since the product is already delivered. Maybe AP govt. can now show Chhattisgarh govt purchase price as an example and bring down the final price.
AP govt now says "We are in touch with other states like Chattisgarh, Kerala, Karnataka regarding the pricing of rapid kits. We will clarify further in this regard".
