Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking a bold and statesman-like decision to extend the nationwide lockdown.
Naidu said that he called the prime minister on Monday night and his call was returned the next morning. Both of the leaders discussed the way forward.
"I told the PM that under his efficient leadership, the right decision was made on lockdown. That helped India stand at the forefront . Many other countries are facing problems. You are building national consensus in the right spirit.
