Corona has trapped the whole world and people all over the world are together in this fight against Covid-19. Bollywood celebrities are coming forward and helping at their level to fight this pandemic. King Khan has done his bit to help the frontline workers by donating 25000 PPE kits to the Maharashtra Health Department.
Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope thanked Shahrukh Khan in a tweet for his generous support. He wrote, "Many Thanks Mr. Shah Rukh Khan for your kind contribution of 25000 PPE kits. This will go a long way in supporting our fight against COVID19 & protecting our frontline medical care team @iamsrk @MeerFoundation @CMOMaharashtra"
SRK replied back to him saying, "Thank you sir for all your help to source the kits. We are all together in this endeavour to protect ourselves and humanity. Glad to be of service. May your family & team be safe and healthy."
Shahrukh has been very generous in this dark time and has been taking great initiatives to help the government fight this battle. He not only donated to various initiatives working to fight COVID 19 but also gave his 4 storeyed office building to BMC as a place to quarantine Corona affected people .
As per the latest reports, the list of corona affected people has risen to 10,453 cases in India with a death toll of 358.
