         RBI నోట్లు ముద్రించి ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థలోకి పంపిస్తే ఎలా ఉంటుంది? Implications Of QE, Helicopter Money

Helicopter money is basically a reference to an idea which was made popular by an American economist named Milton Friedman in the year 1969. Helicopter drop or Helicopter money refers to a last resort type of monetary stimulus strategy used to spur inflation and output to boost the economy

In a famous paper “The Optimum Quantity of Money”, Friedman explained the concept with an example. He said "Let us suppose now that one day a helicopter flies over this community and drops an additional $1,000 in bills from the sky, which is, of course, hastily collected by members of the community. Let us suppose further that everyone is convinced that this is a unique event which will never be repeated.”
