Director Ashwini Iyer Tiwari expressing gratitude to her whole team of ‘Panga’ shared few pictures on Instagram. She also said that it took one and a half years to bring ‘Panga’ to life.
She wrote, “I shot #Panga in Habibganj railway colony & coach factory which was not shown in Indian cinema to the best of my knowledge. ( I may be incorrect too) Witnessed a new world in a world. We were adamant for an empty house and after months with @Kachak26 being more adamant we got the one of our choice. All of us have to agree to it too but in the end moment the house went off to a family :)) They say when God closes one door he opens another. The next building had a vacant house. We immediately agreed to it since it was a ground floor. There was too much work though. The house was vacated three months before we started shoot. My art director Sandy @metersand45 built the area from scratch. Grew vegetables in the house. Got lots of Bougainville. The backyard was cleaned and trees got life. Proudly showed the cauliflower he has grown hoping we could capture in the frame. Celebrated Diwali. He developed the garden in the colony. Mended the benches. Painted the railings. Got the fountain to work. The grass grew on a barren land. The local started using it there after 🙂 We left with a board which said ‘ Thank-you’ By Panga team. I got to know recently from DRM in Bhopal that No 405 #Panga house is most wanted when new transfers happen. @wrkprint &@mehersand45 worked together like Pen and Ink. Wanted to share how house looked before it became a liveable home. Literally so.
Not many are aware on the real works of a film. It took us one and a half years to bring #Panga to life. If I do not speak about my partners effort in the making of#Panga who else would. This is a way of telling each team member Thank-you. :)#ilovemovies #panga #pangastories #lifeofafilmmaker #makeanewpath #teamworkmakesthedreamwork”
