Jharkhand reports third coronavirus case

Ranchi, April 5 (SocialNews.XYZ) Jharkhand reported third coronavirus case on Sunday.

The third case is of a woman from the Bokaro district. She had attended a religious congregation in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She had returned to Bokaro with husband on March 15. She tested Covid-19 positive on Sunday.

Several others from Telo village, under the Chandrapura police station of the Bokaro district too had visited Bangladesh.

Given their travel history, the Bokaro district administration had kept them in isolation at the Guru Gobind Singh Engineering College camp. Their samples had been sent for test at RIMS, Ranchi. Of them, the woman tested positive.

"She has been shifted to the Bokaro General Hospital, a dedicated Covid-19 facility, for treatment," said Bokaro Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Kumar. He also urged people not to panic.

The district administration has begun identifying people who must have come in her contact.

The second case in Jharkahnd is of a Malaysian woman, who had participated in Tablighi Jamaat in Delhi. She had come to Ranchi with 19 foreigners. They were hiding at a mosque in the Hidpiri locality.

The third case is of a person, who had visited Kolkata to attend a marriage.
