Srinagar, April 2 (SocialNews.XYZ) Another batch of 130 persons kept in quarantine in Srinagar was allowed to go home on Wednesday after they successfully completed the period and were declared free of any COVID-19 symptoms.
All these 130 are MBBS students who were put under quarantine after they returned from Bangladesh.
They had been kept under quarantine in a hotel in the Wazir Bagh area of Srinagar city and reports said they belong to different parts of the Kashmir Valley.
On Wednesday, 236 people were allowed to go home after they completed the quarantine period in another Srinagar hotel.
Policemen and officers of civil administration had lined up cheering the successful completion and lauding the cooperation these civilians have given the government to fight the Coronavirus scourge.
So far, 62 people have tested positive in Jammu and Kashmir out of whom two have been cured while two succumbed to the infection.
Presently, there are 58 active cases in J&K out of whom 48 are in the valley and 10 in the Jammu division.
17,041 people are still under surveillance in J&K.
