Srinagar, March 31 (SocialNews.XYZ) As many as 78 people completed their 14-day mandatory quarantine in Kashmir on Tuesday and were given a warm send-off by police and staff of a city hotel where they were staying.
These persons had arrived here from Leh two weeks ago and were straightaway taken from the airport to the quarantine facility at the hotel.
As they walked out of the hotel, those present, including police and hotel staff, clapped and cheered them.
"It is shameful that those who hide their travel history are putting their families and the entire community in trouble," said Asif Rashid, one of those who were quarantined.
"For 14 days, we were taken care of; we were provided all facilities. I want to request all to stay put in their homes because the coronavirus situation is bad," said another person from Kupwara who didn't want to be named.
The doctors who were looking after the quarantined persons said they are in good health and will spend a few more days in home quarantine.
"Our medical teams were present round the clock. I am proud of my team, which despite the risk worked round the clock to provide them all facilities, including masks," said Dr Talat, Chief Medical Officer, Srinagar.
