From clapping Greyhound dog to kids on drums, a true 'Janata' moment

New Delhi, March 22 (SocialNews.XYZ) Amid the reverberating chants, clapping and banging on steel plates with spoons sounds coming out of balconies across the country, there were some offbeat and hilarious scenes as people celebrated 'Janata Curfew at 5 PM on Sunday in solidarity with those who are part of the essential services like healthcare professionals amid the growing new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

In a video that went viral on social media, a boy was seeing playing music on kitchen utensils and suddenly, someone appeared from behind, only to drag him inside. In another video, a Greyhound dog was seen clapping (of course with the help of his owner).

Several kids were seen playing conga drums in the balconies while parents were seen with big temple bells.

Some were more rhythmic with their tambourines while others took comfort in cymbals.

Some enthusiasts began singing patriotic songs while some played 'Vande Mataram' from their balconies.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday asked the nation to acknowledge with gratitude the services of countless health and services personnel leading the battle against coronavirus pandemic.

At least 341 corona cases have been confirmed in India so far, the Union Ministry of Health and family Welfare said on Saturday with five deaths reported from across the country.

After urging the country to observe March 22 as 'Janata Curfew' in an attempt to contain the coronavirus pandemic, the Prime Minister also called for the services of lakhs of health and allied services personnel to be acknowledged on that day at 5 PM.
