PM Narendra Modi urged the citizens of India to observe Janta Curfew on Sunday in wake of the Coronavirus outbreak. Shah Rukh Khan has come out in support of the move.
Sharing his thoughts on self quarantine in time of the health scare, SRK wrote, “It’s imp 2 reduce social interaction 2 minimum. Self Quarantine. The idea of #JanataCurfew on Sunday is a means to this end & we should continue this concept at a personal level as much as we can & more. We need to ‘slow down time’ to arrest the virus spread. Be safe & healthy all.”
In the video that he shared on his Instagram page, Khan urged people to follow instructions and not panic amidst the coronavirus outbreak.
“I appeal to all the people to avoid public places, and to avoid commuting by trains and buses if not absolutely necessary. The next 10-15 days are extremely, extremely crucial. To fight this crisis the government and the citizens have to put up a strong joint fight. So I appeal again, please do not panic. Please be careful about misinformation. And please follow the instructions and guidelines issued by the state government”, Khan said in the video.
As per the reports, Maharashtra Government has decided to mark those who are getting quarantined at their homes for suspected exposure to the Novel Coronavirus.
As a precautionary measure, the step to home-quarantine people arriving from Coronavirus affected region have been taken. This will help the govt to isolate and identify them, just in case, they mingle with the general public.
