Jagan U-Turn Reddy’s Irresponsible Immature Actions Shock All

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy joined with the hope of being a young dynamic CM who will set the state on the path to recovery to change the last 5 years of loot by Chandrababu Naidu and family. So much so they lost the trust of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Consider the following:

1. The first action of Jagan on taking over as Chief Minister of AP was to cancel legally binding PPA contracts with various power/irrigation companies that could have been renegotiated if at all, instead of canceling them. The reputational risk to AP has been severe and something even Prime Ministers Office (PMO) and Ministry of Finance has taken adverse note of.
2. Then Shri. Jagan Reddy appointed Shri. Subhash Garg with Cabinet Rank to clean up finances, but he forgot Shri. Garg was unceremoniously dumped by Prime Minister Modi after a fallout with him and led to his VRS. What signal will Shri Jagan send to PM with this appointment? Then he appointed Shri. Ashwani Lohani, Retired Chairman Railway Board, who was fired by the Government of India from Air India, despite his best efforts to lobby, due to non-performance. Again what signal is Shri. Jagan sending?
3. Then Jagan Reddy met Honourable Prime Minister in person and asked in writing for an outstanding Harvard-educated IAS Officer, Dr. Srivatsa Krishna to be Executive Officer of TTD, to clean up the place and set it right after the shocking incidents reported during Shri. Naidu’s tenure.  His image in IAS circles shot up for he went beyond caste and community, and posted a known clean officer, a strict, no-nonsense tough straightforward officer, who could break old rooted caste rivalries being an outsider. He did this even though he had pressure to post Shri.KS.Jawahar Reddy, IAS, who does not enjoy a clean reputation, so bad that even Chandrababu Naidu kept him out of TTD. However, it is learned Shri. Jawahar Reddy, whose nomination for Central Service was canceled by Narendra Modi Government, on grounds of poor integrity, has made Jagan backtrack now. And is likely to be posted as EO, TTD.
4. The first time in TTD history Chairman, EO and JEO will be from anyone single community thereby upsetting the traditional structures there.  Also after writing a letter to Prime Minister then doing a U-turn shows Shri Jagan in a very poor light.    Even Mr.Naidu withstood norms pressure when he posted a North Indian officer to TTD, but Shri. Jagan could not show the same spine! If he can do this with the PM, then he can do it with any other person anytime. How will Prime Minister perceive him if he doesn’t keep his word to him?
5. Some of the world’s topmost investors some from the Middle East are trying to meet CM to resolution on various issues pertaining to the ANRAK aluminum project, Rasal Khaima, etc but he has no time to meet them at all.  All this sends a very poor signal to investors. Along with the PPAs’ cancellation, the Jagan government had also terminated land allotted at Anantapur to sovereign wealth funds GIC Holdings Ltd and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority’s Greenko Group’s solar-wind hybrid projects sending very negative signals.
6. Jagan removed Shri. LV Subrahmanyam, an outstanding IAS officer as Chief Secretary after he pointed out procedural irregularities done by his own Principal Secretary Praveen Prakash and to further humiliate him, he had the latter issue unceremonious transfer orders of the former that shocked everyone. Several Court stays and judgments have been violated in forcing employees to move, all of which will come back to haunt him later.
7. IPS lobby is upset with Jagan due to arbitrary transfers and he has brought NRI non-official removing an honest officer like Shri.R.Balasubramanyam IPS who has left India in a huff to be away from the mess.

Jagan has not joined NDA and the million-dollar question is does he retain the Prime Minister’s trust now?
