On Tuesday, Scindia met Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi and tendered his resignation from Congress membership to Sonia Gandhi. With Jyotiraditya Scindia and 22 other MLAs loyal to him quitting the Kamal Nath government in Madhya Pradesh, the Congress-led government is on the brink of toppling as the numbers stack up in BJP's favour. In his resignation letter to Sonia Gandhi, Jyotiraditya Scindia said it is time for him to move on. Meanwhile, BJP MLAs from Madhya Pradesh reached Delhi late night and are camping at a hotel in Gurugram. While the Congress has 114 MLAs, the BJP has 107 legislators in the 230-member MP assembly.
