After sharing the screen-space with Sanjay Dutt in Prasthanam, actress Manisha Koirala is all set to explore the digital world with Netflix’s Maska, where she will be seen playing a mature Iranian woman. The actress just took to her social media and shared her journey playing the role and getting the character right.
Actress Manisha Koirala will be seen in the role of an archetypal Parsi mother in the Netflix original film Maska. The actress drops back to back two new posters on her social media profile. The first look of her character, named Diana Rustam Irani from Maska is already out.
Manisha just took to her social media and wrote, “We did various look tests for Diana Rustam Irani...getting the right look is essential as one wants to be authentic in various roles...body language, diction comes right after...the joy of bringing life to writer’s and director’s imagination is something else...specially when it’s so beautiful written role! I have enjoyed playing this part, hopefully audience loves it too...thank you @neerajudhwani @misschamko for creating this character #maska @netflix_in #comingsoon”
Manish Koirala will be seen playing an aged Irani woman, who is troubled by her son and trying to safeguard her Irani Cafe and restaurants as she wants to carry on her husband’s legacy.
The film, also starring Prit Kamani, Shirley Setia and Nikita Dutta, is a coming-of-age story that promises to take the audience through a journey to understand the difference between dreams and delusions. Maska is slated to release on Netflix in March.
She will next star in AR Rahman's romantic musical 99 Songs, and in a Comedy American film India, Sweets and Spices, directed by Geeta Malik.
