Independent Songs Are More Sensational Than Bollywood Songs, Says Amaal Malik.

Bollywood music director, singer and lyricist Amaal Mallik hailing from a musical family believe that music does not hinge on the film industry. Independent music is more successful than the film songs.

Amaal Mallik along with Zwann was seen interacting with the media at the Press Conference of the song ‘Jung’.

When asked how tough it is for an independent singer to survive in an industry, on this Amaal said, “In India, there never have been Music Industry there was always Film Industry. Earlier music was always composed of films only. It was only in the ’90s when Sonu Nigam or Shaan used to sing independently. But today apart from label or film there are many Indian singers like Jasleen Royal, Prateek Kuhad and Darshan Raval have come out with great independent music and are triumphant.

Talking about fame, it’s true that if you lend your voice to any Bollywood star you get your own Bollywood audience. But still, that cannot be called the music industry. The fact is that music does not hinge on the film industry. Because nowadays you will get the drift that independent songs are more successful than film songs. I think at present a very good era of independent music is going on" added Amaal.

About the song, ‘Jung’ is a hip-hop song, performed and penned by Zwann and produced by Amaal Malik. The song launched on 5^th March 2020.
