After ruling the box-office with Panga, filmmaker Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari is all set to explore the OTT platform with her forthcoming short film, Ghar Ki Murgi. The director stated that the film ‘Ghar Ki Murgi’ is a very special film. and it is made to represent India for the BRICS Film Festival.
Ashwini Iyer Tiwari along with Nitesh Tiwari And Sakshi Tanwar was seen interacting with the media on Wednesday in Mumbai at the Screening of Sonyliv's Short Film 'Ghar Ki Murgi'.
Expressing on the same Ashwini said, "Ghar ki Murgi' is a very special film. This film is made to represent India for the BRICS Film Festival. The task was that the director from every country will make a short film and represent their creativity. As I was been selected by the Government of India to make the movie, so I and my husband Nitesh started working as partners. Nitesh wrote the story 'Ghar Ki Murgi' and I directed it."
When asked is it challenging to find producers for making short films, on this Ashwini said, "If the script is good it won't be challenging to find the producers. Today Our country is going through such a phase we need to make more stories of women empowerment. Even one should not think that hardly any audience will watch stories based on women. Especially on the online platforms you have a single viewing and expectation is more, people do watch stories based on women. And I feel that the OTT platform is a very good medium for youngsters to show their talent."
'Ghar Ki Murgi' is directed by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari, written by Nitesh Tiwari. It stars Sakshi Tanwar. It will debut on SonyLIV on March 8.
