Moscow, March 4 (SocialNews.XYZ) Russia's largest wind farm - Adygea - has started supplying power to the country's wholesale electricity market, the state atomic energy corporation Rosatom said here on Wednesday.
The Adygea Wind Farm is the first completed project of NovaWind JSC, the wind energy division of Rosatom, who are the technical consultants and equipment suppliers for the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project (KNPP) in Tamil Nadu. Novawind has a total capacity of 150 MW and operates 60 wind turbines.
Rosatom is currently implementing a programme for wind farm construction at four more sites in the Stavropol Kray and the Rostov region, a company statement said.
The company's'next largest wind farm, with an installed capacity of 210 MW, will be set up in the Kochubeyevsky district of the Stavropol Kray, it added.
