Mumbai, March 4 (SocialNews.XYZ) Swami Vivekanand International, Borivali carried on their inter-school dominance with a comprehensive 337-run win over Ryan International School, Chembur. Ishaan Roy struck a brilliant hundred to help his school to storm into the quarters of the boys Under 14 category match of the Mumbai Indians Junior Cricket Tournament at the Azad Maidan on Wednesday.
Ishaan Roy scored an unbeaten 114 off 79 to help Swami Vivekanand post a big total of 414/3. Ishaan was given good company by Pranav Kapadia who contributed with 65. The Ryan International batsmen couldn't shoulder the responsibility of the big chase and could manage just a total of 77 runs.
In a low scoring match at Azad Maidan, KC Gandhi English School upstaged Shardashram English School, Dadar by 15 runs. Chasing a low target, the Shardashram batsmen failed to apply themselves and succumbed under pressure to get bowled out for 125 runs.
Manav Ghugardhar of KC Gandhi was the destructor- in-chief. He bagged a five-wicket haul in his six overs at the expense of just 12 runs to restrict the much-fancied Shardashram batting.
Earlier, KC Gandhi scored a total of 140/9 in 40 overs with Meet Jain (30) and Hritik Pandey (28) putting up a fight in difficult conditions.
