Gauri Khan says that her husband Shah Rukh Khan would have made a good architect, if not an actor, as he loves designs.
Designer trio Gauri Khan, Seema Khan and Sussanne Khan were seen interacting with the media at the Red Carpet of Maison & Objet 25th Anniversary on Thursday in Mumbai.
Talking about Shah Rukh Khan and his love for designs, Gauri Khan said, “He doesn’t get impressed with me, he gets impressed by design. Like I always said, if he was not an actor, he would have been an architect, one hundred percent. He loves design, he follows design, and he loves modern design and contemporary design”
Gauri Khan is a film producer and designer who has designed spaces for high-profile individuals such as Mukesh Ambani, Roberto Cavalli and Ralph Lauren, as well as Bollywood celebrities such as Karan Johar, Jacqueline Fernandez and Sidharth Malhotra.
Talking about her design inspiration, Gauri said, “For me, inspiration is everywhere, it’s where and how you use it in your design. Whether I am visiting a museum or travelling anywhere in the world, I am constantly getting inspired. Whether its museum, art, art gallery, it could be anything. Inspiration is everywhere and I am constantly imbibing good designs and products. I am always on the lookout for good interiors, design ideas and it’s a lot of fun. I enjoy this process.”
She is the co-founder and co-chairperson of the film production company Red Chillies Entertainment and its subsidiaries. In 2018, Gauri was named as one of Fortune magazine's "50 Most Powerful Women".
