Dia Mirza is collaborating with Anubhav Sinha for the first time in forthcoming social drama Thappad. The film opened in theatres today, it revolves around a married woman who files for divorce when her husband slaps her.
The film also stars Pavail Gulati, Ratna Pathak Shah, Tanvi Azmi, Ram Kapoor, Kumud Mishra, Sushil Dahiya, Nidhi Uttam, Manav Kaul, Gracy Goswami and Sandeep Yadav in pivotal roles.
The film is directed by Anubhav Sinha and its been co-produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and co-written by Mrunmayee Lagoo.
