New Delhi, Feb 25 (SocialNews.XYZ) London-headquartered Virgin Atlantic on Tuesday said that it will operate a new service from New Delhi to Manchester from October 2020 onwards.
Accordingly, the airline will operate the new service three times a week from Delhi to Manchester.
"For the first time, Virgin Atlantic will fly from India to Manchester and coupled with the airline's double daily service from Delhi to Heathrow and daily service from Mumbai to Heathrow, the airline will now offer over 600,000 seats per year between India and UK," the company said in a statement.
"Flying to India from Manchester for the very first time, and Virgin's first flight to Asia from Manchester, this new three times a week service will fly on an A330-200 aircraft."
According to the airline, tickets will go on sale from March 3, 2020.
"Manchester is the UK's third largest airport and is an ideal gateway to the rest of the UK and Virgin Atlantic will offer seamless connectivity to destinations such as Edinburgh and Belfast with Flybe, soon to be rebranded Virgin Connect. Virgin Atlantic flights from Delhi to Manchester will have also have connections to New York and Orlando."
