Hope that winner of Miss Diva 2020 will win Miss Universe pageant says Lara Dutta

Actor and former Miss Universe Lara Dutta, who is the trainer and mentor of contestants contesting in 8th season of Miss Diva 2020 contest, has hoped that winner of the contest will represent India at Miss Universe pageant and will be crowned as a winner at the prestigious event.

Lara Dutta was interacting with media at the grand finale of Liva Miss Diva 2020 along with Malaika Arora and Mahesh Bhupathy on Saturday in Mumbai.

Talking about her experience mentoring contestants of Miss Diva contest, Lara said, “Today is the finale of Liva Miss Diva 2020 and we have had the girls with us for almost a month. They have been absolutely incredible. They are very raw, young and amazing talent that came out of the whole country. Tonight, they are all going to compete for the opportunity of representing India at Miss Universe so, I am feeling very excited. I have seen these girls transformed and I can’t wait to hopefully not just crown another Miss Diva but to crown another successor that is going to go to become Miss Universe.”

When asked Lara how difficult it is going to be for the judging panel to judge this contest, she said, “I think that the judges are going to have pretty hard time tonight. We have got an awesome judging panel so, we have got a lot of people who are pretty well-versed to decide what it takes to be that standout winner but I think that the girls are really going to surprise a lot of people tonight on stage as well and I am really looking forward to seeing that one dark horse that’s nobody sees coming because that’s always the girl you need to lookout for.”

Sharing her feeling about Miss Diva 2020 contest, Malaika said, “It’s always wonderful to be a part of any event that I have done with The Times Group. I have been part of Miss Diva in the past as well so, it feels great to be back. They have an amazing line-up of amazing ladies on stage tonight. I am equally excited to know who will be the winners tonight and some of our previous winners have also gone ahead and really made themselves and our country proud so, I am really excited about tonight.”

Malaika is one of the judges who are going to judge the grand finale, talking about it, she said, “I think judging is always very difficult in the sense, it is always little tricky. You just want to make sure that you are doing justice to the chair that you are sitting on and I am sure more than anything, I think the girls are very well prepared. They look amazing and I think they have been trained and mentored very well by Lara (Dutta) so, I am that they will put their best foot forward.”

Lara Dutta’s husband and well-known tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi also shared his feeling being a part of the grand finale, he said, “I am excited to see who the finalists are. I think all the girls have been working very hard so, obviously it’s going to be tough and I am sure that the best girl will come on top.”

Actors Anil Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur who were recently seen together in ‘Malang’ were also part of judging panel.

The Top 20 Finalists of the Miss Diva 2020 are Aavriti Choudhary, Adline Castelino, Anisha Sharma, Archana Ravi, Arshina Sumbul, Farhat Firoza, Lavanya Gunasekar, Malashya Kashyap, Megha Sachdeva, Neha Jaiswal, Nishi Bhardwaj, Payal Sharma, Rashalika Sabharwal, Roshni Sharma, Rushali Yadav, Shivangi Sharma, Shreya Poonja, Suruthi Periyasamy, Tanya Subramanian, and Vaishnavi Ganesh.

The winner of Miss Diva 2020 will get the huge privilege of representing the nation for the next event, Miss Universe 2020.
