Lakme Fashion Week has added tremendous value to my career, brand and name says Kareena Kapoor Khan

Actress Kareena Kapor Khan, who walks as a showstopper at Lakme Fashion Week’s grand finale in every season, has said that it has added tremendous value to her career, brand and name.

Kareena Kapoor Khan was interacting with the media when she walked the ramp for fashion designer Amit Aggarwal on Sunday in Mumbai.

Kareena Kapoor Khan made her Hindi film debut with ‘Refugee’ along with Abhishek Bachchan in June, 2000. This year, she will be competing her 20 years in the film industry and since last 20 years, she has been associated with Lakme Fashion Week, talking about it, Kareena said, “I think no better way to celebrate it with a brand (LFW) that is synonymous with me, a brand that added tremendous value to my career, brand and name. As everyone knows, there is no Lakme Fashion Week finale that is complete without me and I take great pride honour to say that because I actually love walking the ramp. May be I am hidden model but I like it and I enjoy walking with all of them.”

Kareena added, “There is something so special about Lakme Fashion Week. Time and time again, I get to meet such beautiful designers, wear their clothes, feel so special, put on my Lakme make-up and just feel like an absolute diva and I think tonight is no less. It is little more special because first time I am wearing Amit Aggarwal’s design and wearing one of my favorite colours. He has designed this outfit specifically for me and it fits me like a glove. I have to say that I feel alive and sexy tonight and the only one missing in the crowd is my husband. He should have come because I am feeling fabulous! I am thankful to Lakme Fashion Week for giving this honour each time. I think 20 years is less. I think Lakme Fashion Week and I are not going anywhere so, see you again next season.”

When asked Kareena what goes in her mind before walking the ramp, she said, “I hope that I don’t fall. It’s the same thought ever year and I think that what’s going to happen. I think everyone feels that way before hitting the ramp but as I said, I absolutely loved and enjoyed it.”

Talking about her fashion and style statement, Kareena said, “Fashion and style statement is something that I would be comfortable in. The only time probably I am very fashionable is when I got to wear all these amazing designer’s outfit’s on ramp at Lakme Fashion Week. Otherwise, I am happy in my pajamas.”

When asked her Kareena her first experience walking the ramp for Lakme Fashion Week, she said,“I think Lakme Fashion Week as a brand and I have also grown, learnt and kind of become bigger and better by each fashion week and season. It just became grander. We have not left any place in Mumbai. I think now we need to do a destination fashion week because we have tried all the amazing places.”

On film front, Kareena Kapoor Khan next will be seen onscreen in Homi Adjania’s ‘Angrezi Medium’, Advait Chandan’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ and Karan Johar’s ‘Takht’.
