New Delhi, Feb 17 (SocialNews.XYZ) The Union Ministry of Health and Family Affairs, on Monday, informed that one more patient of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) was discharged from the hospital.
A statement, released by the Health Ministry, stated: "Another patient in Kerala, who was earlier found nCOV positive, has been discharged from hospital and is presently under home isolation. Earlier, one patient was already discharged. The number of patients discharged is now 2."
The third patient, according to health ministry, is said to be stable.
Three positive cases of the novel coronavirus were registered in India. All of them were in Kerala. The patients had a travel history to China.
The Kerala government had earlier announced coronavirus as a state calamity, but on February 7, it was lifted after a meeting of top health authorities found that everything was under control and no fresh cases have been reported.
"After February 3, there has been no fresh positive case and the three patients who tested positive are on the road to recovery. Moreover, all those who came in close contact with the three positive patients, who are under close observation, are fine. Hence it has been decided to lift it," The government had said.
Novel coronavirus or COVID-19 is a new strain of viruses that broke out in Wuhan City of China and spread to at least 30 countries across the world.
