New Delhi, Feb 13 (SocialNews.XYZ) Sarojini Naidu, the Nightingale of India, is widely remembered for her lyrical poems and contributions to the freedom struggle and championing for women's rights.
On her birthday, Twitterati took to social media to pay her a tribute and wish Sarojini Naidu on her birth anniversary.
Sarojini Naidu born to a Bengali family of scholars and poets in Hyderabad on February 13, 1879 and was a follower of Mahatma Gandhi and his idea of Swaraj or self-governance.
Taking to Twitter, Rajasathan CM Ashok Gehlot wrote, "I pay my homage to the Nightingale of India, #SarojiniNaidu Ji, a poetess and politician on her birth anniversary. She inspired the people, especially women with her vision and work, which was far ahead of her times."
