Panga filmmaker Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari lends support to Roy Kapur Films and Netflix’s new collaboration, Yeh Ballet, drops the first official trailer of the film.
Director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari just took to her social media profile and dropped the trailer of the film. She captioned it, “The glimpse of rawness yet stylish and newness to storytelling with no inhibitions intriguing faces is making me want to watch #YehBallet now. @soonitara @roykapurfilms @NetflixFilm @NetflixIndia”
Yeh Ballet, an upcoming dance film inspired by the journey of two Mumbai boys who overcame their circumstances to enrol in prestigious ballet schools. The film is directed by Sooni Taraporevala, who previously directed a short VR documentary on the subject.
In Yeh Ballet, newcomers Manish Chauhan and Achintya Bose play the two boys — dance show winner Nishu and his rebellious friend Asif. The film is inspired by the real story of two young boys who were determined and dreamt big. It's such an awesome and almost unbelievable story that it makes you believe in working with passion towards your goals.
Yeh Ballet also stars Julian Sands, Jim Sarbh, Vijay Maurya, Danish Husain, and others. The music is composed by Ankur Tewari (Gully Boy).
Produced by Roy Kapur Films, the film is scheduled for release on February 21 on Netflix.
