BJP brought fight to one-sided Delhi polls: Shyam Jaju

By Navneet Mishra

New Delhi, Feb 11 (SocialNews.XYZ) Hectic campaigning and a lot of work by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) brought some fight to the Delhi Assembly elections which otherwise would have become a one-sided affair, Shyam Jaju, BJP national vice-president and Delhi in-charge, told IANS on Tuesday.

He said the party will review the reasons why it lagged behind the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

Jaju said that now at least people will not raise questions about the EVMs and dismissed the fact that the BJP is losing badly in elections.

He said: "Last time we won on only three seats and as far as the performance in this election is considered, the trends show that our seats and vote share is increasing. We were able to bring fight in the one-sided Delhi elections."

The BJP leader took a dig at the Congress as he said that the voters have dismissed the Congress totally.

When asked what happened to the claims that the party was making, he said that even the Congress was claiming that it will return to power. Till the results are not declared there is no harm in claiming anything, said Jaju.

He denied the fact that the BJP couldn't connect with the voters, saying that it was only due to its aggressive campaigning that the party managed to increase its vote share.
