Actor Shahid Kapoor, slowly but steadily has turned into the most bankable stars in the country, with his latest film Jersey’s All India Theatrical Rights fetching a fantastic price, even while the film is still under production!
The All India Theatrical rights have been acquired by renowned Mumbai Distributor Rakesh Sippy, who in the past has distributed many blockbuster films.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh dropped the confirmation on the news. After Kabir Singh’s gigantic business the industry, trade, and audiences are keenly looking forward to his next release Jersey and now with the All India Theatrical Rights already sold, it only validates the huge demand for the Shahid Kapoor starrer.
Jersey, chronicles the tale of a thirty six years old cricketer who stopped his cricketing career ten years ago, now aiming to play for Indian team. An official remake of the 2019 Telugu film with the same title, also directed by Tinnanuri, it marks Shahid Kapoor's on-screen reunion father Pankaj Kapur four years.
The film Jersey is presented by Allu Aravind and produced by Aman Gill and Dil Raju. The film is set to release on August 28, 2020.
The film also stars Mrunal Thakur, Geetika Mehandru, Mohan Kapoor, Rohan Shah, Chetna Pande, Rajesh Sharma, Sudhanshu Pandey, Shishir Sharma, Ronit Kamara and Nani in cameo.
