Maidaan Gets A New Release Date

Superstar Ajay Devgn’s next "Maidaan", which was earlier scheduled to be released on November 27, will now hit the theatres on December 11. The makers of the film has dropped two new posters and confirmed the new release date.

Badhaai Ho famed director Amit Sharma who is helming Maidaan shared the new release date on his social media. He tweeted, “#Maidaan will now release on 11.12.2020 @Ajaydevgn @Priyamani6 @raogajraj @boneykapoor @freshlimefilms @saiwynQ @actorrudranil @writish @saregamaglobal @zeestudios_ @zeestudiosint @BayViewProjOffl @MaidaanOfficial”

The film is based on the golden years of Indian football and one of the biggest coaches our country has ever produced, Syed Abdul Rahim. Ajay Devgn will step into the shoes of Syed to tell the story of this unsung hero who was responsible for taking Indian football to new heights and winning accolades for the country.

The Indian football team won a Gold at the 1962 Asian Games in Jakarta and reached the semi-finals of the 1956 Melbourne Olympics when Syed was the coach.

The film is produced by Zee Studios, Kapoor, Akash Chawla and Arunava Joy Sengupta, also features south star Priyamani.

Saiwyn Quadros has penned the screenplay, while Ritesh Shah has written the dialogues.
