Bhoot Part 1 And Takht, Dream Come True Says Vicky Kaushal

Actor Vicky Kaushal who is exploring the horror genre with Bhoot Part 1 and historical genre with Takht, says his dreams are coming true with his coming line-uo of release.

Karan Johar along with Shashank Khaitan, Vicky Kaushal and Bhanu Pratap Singh grace the trailer launch of “Bhoot Part 1- The Haunted Ship” in Mumbai.

Vicky Kaushal has an interesting line-up of releases, movies such as Udham Singh, Takht, Ashwatthama and Sam Manekshaw.

Talking about his dream roles, Vicky said, “With coming line-up, most of my dreams are fulfilled. I had never imagined that I would be able to do a horror film but I did want to do one horror film. So when I read the script, I really fell in love with the script, I was literally scared and I thought when this script will be joined with audio and visual, it would be an experience. So I just jumped into it”

“Takht, it was always been a dream to do a historical film and now being a part of a film which is set in Mughal era, which I have only heard but never seen, so I am really excited to bring that era in-front of the audience” added Vicky.

Bhoot Part One is first ever horror film from Dharma Productions and Vicky credits his director for making the film.  He said, “Karan Johar, Shashank Khaitan and I, are really scared of horror films. I am literally scared of horror films and only person on the team, our filmmaker, is enthusiastic of horror films. Thank god, my director Bhanu Pratap Singh enjoys horror films and he does watch them and made the film”

When asked about having any real-life ghost experience, Vicky said, “I don’t know about real-life incident or encounter, but accidents kept happening on sets. One time a ladder fell on sets, and we were all gossiping that there is ghost on sets. One time a door fell on someone’s head, and few accidents took place but nothing in particular happened which could be deemed as ghost encounter”

Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship is directed by Bhanu Pratap Singh, also starring Bhumi Pednekar and Ashutosh Rana in the lead roles. It is based on a true accident that took place in Mumbai, and tells the story of a couple on an abandoned ship lying static on a beach. It is the first film of a planned horror film franchise. The film releases on 21st Feb 2020.
