After an epic hit, Badhaai Ho, filmmaker Amit Sharma is coming out with sports biopic based on football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, the film is titled Maidaan, starring Ajay Devng in the lead role. The first official poster and release date of the film are out.
Superstar Ajay Devgn just dropped the poster and release date of the film on his social media profile. The film is directed and written by Amit Ravindrenath Sharma and produced by Boney Kapoor, Zee Studios. The film also features Priyamani in the lead roles. Devgn stars as football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. The film will tell the story of golden era of Indian football 1952-1962.
The National-Award winning actor Priyamani has replaced actor Keerthy Suresh as the lead role in the upcoming sports drama film Maidaan. She has worked in Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express as well and also part of Kangana Ranaut starrer film Thalaivi.
Saiwyn Quadros and Ritesh Shah have been credited for screenplay and dialogues, respectively. The film is scheduled to be released on November 27.
