With 1046 musicians performing live for the music launch Kabir Khan’s ‘The Forgotten Army’ series, the makers have achieved an unprecedented feast. They have created a Guinness World Record for being the biggest ensemble of “Live Musicians” ever on Friday in Mumbai.
According to Guinness World Record, prior record is held for 900 plus musicians performing live but Amazon Prime Video got 1000 plus musicians’ on-board performing three songs live for 'The Forgotten Army' is a feast worthy of celebration.
Present at the musical evening were Gaurav Gandhi (director and country manager - India for Amazon Prime Video), Aparna Purohit (Head - Amazon Originals), music composer Pritam Chakraborty, director of the show Kabir Khan and the cast - Sunny Kaushal, Sharvari Wagh, Rohit Bharadwaj, and TJ Bhanu.
Sharing his feeling after registering his show in Guinness World Records, Khan said, “I was just desperately trying to hold back my tears because it’s truly overwhelming. I think after seeing these talented musicians perform Pritam’s (Chakraborty) compositions and with the visuals of the show running on the big screen, it was extremely emotional and overwhelming moment for me. I am really thankful to the audience and these artists who have been part of this event.”
The Forgotten Army - Azaadi Ke Liye is a web series which premiered on Amazon Prime Video on 24 January 2020. The series is directed by Kabir Khan, the series is based on true events about the men and women in the Indian National Army (INA) led by Subhash Chandra Bose.
The series also stars Rajvir Chauhan, Rohit Choudhary, Karanvir Malhotra, M.K. Raina, Shruti Seth, Kajol Muskan, Rajiv Ranjan, R. Badree, Sam Mohan, Sunil Jaglan, Upen Chauhan and more.
The web series based on Azad Hind Fauj was streamed on January 24, 2020.
