Summary - At whatever point a business masala entertaining movie releases in a theater, the crowd is Keen on its execution, style, thrills, and actions. Thinking about these components, Ajay Vaasudev's Shylock is a watchable film for all enthusiasts of Mammootty and for the people who like masala films. Nobody expects a class film here. If any scholarly reviewers think that way, it's not the problem of the makers. No matter what age you’re, no matter what movie genre you’re, no matter if you’re a fan of mass cinema, classy cinema, Mammootty, Mohanlal or anyone — JUST WATCH THIS!

What's About - Boss (Mammootty) is a savage moneylender who for the most part funds the film business. He is also a total film buff. Prathama Varma (Kalabhavan Shahjohn), a well-known film producer swindles Boss by not reimbursing the cash he obtained from him and further miracles him by disregarding his telephone calls. However, Boss fights back in an incomprehensible way and causes extraordinary difficulty for Prathapa Varma. Varma chooses to kill the moneylender from his way, with accompany of his dear companion Felix John (Siddique), the city police head. But Boss has his own intentions behind destroying with Prathapa Varma.

Script Analysis - Debuting writer duos Aneesh Hameed and Bibin Mohan, appears to know their target crowd quite well, and what they would expect in a major film. Shylock is a film consisting of an empty number of combined resistances. It brings to you the life of a ruthless rich man and simultaneously shows the battles of his tiered past. Though the film follows a customary structure in its story, it manages to connect with the crowd well. Shylock basically holds the typical subject, stacked with family feelings, action, and comedy but prevails in its very own one of a kind style. Shylock is an entertainer displayed in its very own style. It is profoundly engaging at focuses and keeps the consideration of the crowd in propriety with the show ace, Mammootty. The flashback partitions are commendable because of the exhibitions of Mammootty and Rajkiran. The boss's connection with the last passes on well and further, turns into the base on which Mammootty mass scenes bases upon.

Star Performances - Mammootty, as usual, floors every single crowd part with his style, mystique, mannerisms, and dialogues. Soul of the film is it's one-liners from Mammootty; I feel the writers have structured the story around these over the top discoursed, self-refreshing Mammotty, who can successfully make you giggle. Shylock unquestionably denotes striking exhibitions by Rajkiran. He has estimated his presentation and assessed the extent of his character impeccably. It isn't new for a masala film to stack with a high star cast. Shylock is the same as Siddique, Hareesh Kanaran, Baiju, Shajon, Bibin George, Meena, and each edge looks enriched and pressed.

Direction, Cinematography & Music - Ajay Vasudev has cut a specialty for himself in a limited capacity to focus. After two inside and out commercial films, he picks another masala entertainer for his third excursion. Obviously, this movie also has all the trademarks heroism that you find in Ajay's different movies. I would state this is a superior and Massey oner than his past. You overlook the slight issues in the latter half, and it manages to engage and immerse you. This could very well be a treat that Mammootty fans were expecting. The cinematography by Renedive fills its need and is very good, particularly during Mammootty's intro scene and in action scenes. Gopi Sundar's BGM gives full on vitality for the fans to cheer.

Verdict - Shylock is Slightly gooey however, all things considered, a Fulfilling outing and a watchable entertainer overall.
