Queen of Controversies, Kangana Ranaut takes a jab at media and call them “Click Bait Journalism” during her recent media interacting for Panga.
Actress Kangana Ranaut along with Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Richa Chadha, Jassie Gill and more hosted a press conference for her forthcoming sports drama Panga.
Kangana Ranaut recently made headlines when she asked Deepika Padukone to apologise for appearing in a promotional video for the film 'Chhapaak' and her feud with Saif Ali Khan has been in news for the longest.
When asked Kangana whether she feels that her statements are often misinterpreted by the media and that’s the reason her name get embroiled in controversies, Kangana took jibe at media and said, “Yes...I have read the headlines which said that ‘I lashed out’ or ‘khari khoti suna di’ (to scold bluntly) (at Saif Ali Khan). If he (Saif Ali Khan) has come up with his point of view then I also put up my point of view”
“I feel that media becomes quite sensational (in their reportage). I also feel that our country’s readers have that kind of taste too so what can you do about it? It’s not media’s fault also because it’s a time of click-bait journalism”
“If they (media) write a headline like ‘Kangana lashed out’ then it justifies psychotic behaviour of media and readers. I just feel that if you ask me any question and you expect that I shouldn’t answer to it than its better that you should not ask me questions because I will not give any diplomatic answers to questions because I am inherently a straight-forward person.”
Meanwhile, Panga is directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and produced by Fox Star Studios. The film features Kangana Ranaut, Jassi Gill, Richa Chadda and Neena Gupta. The story depicts the jovial life of a kabaddi player.
The film is set to theatrically release in India on 24 January 2020.
