After making her debut with Mirzya actress Saiyami Kher announces her second movie, Choked and express her excitement about working with noir filmmaker Anurag Kashyap.
Netflix India has rolled out an impressive slate of future projects in collaboration with Anurag Kashyap, Karan Johar, Dibakar Banerjee, and Vikramaditya Motwane.
Anurag Kashyap will direct Choked, which stars Mirzya actress Saiyami Kher and Moothon actor Roshan Mathew. The film will be entirely set in Mumbai. The film is centred around a bank cashier whose life takes a dramatic turn when she finds a source of unlimited money inside her kitchen.
Confirming the film, Saiyami Kher took to her social media profile and dropped a stunning picture with Anurag Kashyap and ensemble. She wrote, “CHOKED! It’s been a long wait but I’m so happy this is my next 🙂 Directed by @anuragkashyap72, Co-starring - Roshan Mathew, Written by @misterbistar, Choked with emotion to share it with you’ll this year.”
Saiyami Kher made her acting debut in 2016 with Mirzya, which also marked the debut of Harshvardhan Kapoor. The epic fantasy romance was helmed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. The basic premise of the film is inspired by the Punjabi folklore of Mirza Sahiban. The film received mixed critical reception and was a box office bomb.
Saiyami has also been part of Mauli and Rey.
