It’s a remarkable tribute, Pen launch on Javed’s name – Shabana Azmi.

Bollywood actress and social activist Shabana Azmi, along with her family was seen at the inauguration of her husband Javed Akhtar’s (poet and lyricist) paintings and photos. Shabana was feeling overwhelmed by the tribute given to her husband. On the inauguration of an Art Exhibition of Javed Akhtar photo, posters and paintings exhibition, a pen (Javed Akhtar Pen Edition Ltd) was launched on her husband’s name.

Expressing her excitement over the tribute given to Javed Akhtar Shabana said, “It’s a tribute to a person who has seen lots of ups and downs in his life. He has gone through very tough times, but never lost hope. I personally know, he has been through many hardships. And I really salute his spirit of fighting his difficulties.”

On the photos displayed in exhibition, Shabana said,” There are many photos which I have not seen before. But when you see the anthology of paintings at same time, it recollects your old memories. I am pleased to see the efforts of Pradeep Chandra and SM Ausuja. They have laid their heart and soul in these collections. I am overwhelmed by the tribute given to my husband. I think it’s an honor, to see a pen (Javed Akhtar Pen Edition Ltd) launched on a poet and lyricist name.”

The inauguration of an Art Exhibition of Javed Akhtar photo, posters and paintings were curated By Pradeep Chandra and SMM Ausaja. The exhibition was held to celebrate Javed Akhtar’s Birthday at Nehru Centre HD Gallery.

Along with Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, Shibani Dandekar were present to mark the 75^th birthday celebration of Javed Akhtar.
