Rain forecast in Punjab, Haryana

Chandigarh, Jan 15 (SocialNews.XYZ) The sky remain overcast in most parts of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh on Wednesday with chances of rain as cold wave conditions continued to prevail, the Met said.

Rain or thundershowers could take place in parts of Punjab and Haryana over the next 24 hours till Thursday. Dense fog conditions will also continue, it added.

The holy city of Amritsar was the coldest with a low of 2.6 degrees Celsius.

Punjab's industrial hub Ludhiana had a low of 6.6 degrees Celsius, while Patiala had 5.2 degrees, Faridkot 3.5 degrees, three degrees in Gurdaspur and 2.5 degrees in Halwara.

In Haryana, Hisar town had a minimum of 2.6 degrees, while it was 2.8 degrees in Narnaul, 3.6 degrees Sirsa, five degrees in Karnal and 7.2 degrees in Ambala.

Chandigarh, which was cloudy, had a low of 9.2 degrees. The city recorded a maximum temperature of 13.3 degrees a day earlier.
