Kabir Khan directorial sports biopic titled '83 has been the most anticipated film of 2020. Based on the historic win of the Indian cricket team against West Indies in 1983 under the captaincy of Kapil Dev, the project finds itself amidst extreme fanfare much before its release.

On the poster, Tamil actor Jiiva is seen donning the cricketer's outfit as he is playing a square-cut. Srikkanth was the top scorer in the final match of 1983 world cup against West Indies.
The film traces the historic victory of the Indian cricket team during the 1983 world cup. The film is presented by Reliance Entertainment. It also features Ammy Virk, Hardy Sandhu, and Chirag Patil.
Touted to be the biggest sports film of all time, ‘83 is being co-produced by Madhu Mantena, Sajid Nadiadwala and Reliance Entertainment. The film is scheduled to release on April 10, 2020, in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
