New Delhi, Jan 10 (SocialNews.XYZ) With close to a whopping 4,566 tables being booked each hour in Indian cities in 2019, Indians dined out 4.5 times more in 2019 as compared to 2018, a recent report suggests.
As per the recent report published by India's restaurant solutions company Dineout, almost 60 per cent Indians also ate out over the weekends.
Talking about the growing dining out culture of a price-sensitive market, the report also highlighted that Indians foodies dined without fear of bill on any occasion.
"In 2019, close to 4,566 tables were reserved per hour across Indian cities including metro and non-metro cities and while the average bill value for dining out was Rs 1600, for ordering in it was Rs 300," it said.
India is a food-loving country with different states offering a myriad of cuisines.
However, North Indian food emerged to be a clear winner with 37 per cent Indians ordering it across India including South Indian states. Chinese came second at 19 per cent and Continental at 12 per cent respectively.
Tikkas and chilled beer turned out to be the favourite food combo of the country.
Another interesting find is Udaipur city having maximum 'table for 2' reservations, and Indore is family first with a maximum 'table for 4' reservations.
It said that Bengaluru spent the highest while dining out as compared to the rest of India.
