Australia Fire, It Is Devastating Says Pooja Hegde

Actress Pooja Hegde urges people to donate for relief efforts in Australia, as the country is threatened by catastrophic bushfires and it has devastated everything.

Pooja Hedge was interacting with media on the sidelines of a Pet event organized b Drools in Mumbai.

Australia fire has claimed millions of lives in terms of animal, humans and forest creatures. When asked about the fire, Pooja said, “What’s happening in Australia is devastating. When I saw the images coming out from the fire, the animals and everyone else is suffering. So we need to do whatever we can through donations”  

Pooja Hegde is an avid animal lover. She frequents pet-shelter and urges everyone to feed strays.

Talking about people posting disturbing videos about torturing animals, especially violence against dogs, she said, “Violence is something which I do not support in general, whether it is towards animal or anything. I just think that if people are treated the same way (violently), I am sure they are not going to like it, so why do it to someone else. So I think these people needs to educated about violence in general and I don’t think animal should be treated in that way because we as humans can cry, complain or communicate to other about our pain, but animal cannot. Animal only attack when hungry, so feed them. Please don’t hit animal or hurt them.”

Talking about the event, Pooja added, “Drools is a great initiative. I would suggest that everybody, if possible, try and adopt a dog. Perhaps help and feed a stray dog that is something I’d try and do. Even during the shooting, usually there are three four stray dogs around vanity van, so we feed those dogs. It is really important to do little things, as there little kindness can go a very long way.”

On the work front, Pooja had three massive releases in 2019, such as Maharshi, Gaddalakonda Ganesh and Housefull 4. Currently she is busy with Ala Vaikuntapuramlo and Jaan.
