Veteran actor turned politician Shatrughan Sinha is noted for his fearless take on things, and now when goons are attacking students in Indian Capital, the actor took to his social media, not only condemned the act but also hinted that this “state sponsored” attack should be thoroughly investigated and culprits must be punished.
Several men with faces covered, who identified themselves as “nationalists and supporters of ABVP”, gathered outside the North Gate of Jawaharlal Nehru University on Sunday evening, holding sticks and rods, and raising “Bharat Mata ki Jai” slogans. The group attacked students and professors, injuring them badly.
Actor Shatrughan Sinha wrote, “Most painful, condemnable, unexpected & shameful that violence is happening in one of India’s most prestigious institutes/ institution #JNUViolence which is well known for the best of the intellectuals, bureaucrats & of course most learned people in the country & aboard”
