Actress Deepika Padukone is making a comeback with her forthcoming real-life based drama film, Chhapaak. The film is based on acid survivor and her struggles in life and now the makers drop an ‘inspirational’ anthem to not only promote the film but create awareness about acid attacks.
Actress Deepika Padukone just dropped a promotional video on her social media profile. The video is a poem by Gulzar, which is an inspirational anthem to encourage people to address the issue of acid attacks and support the victims. Titled Ab Ladna Hai - is a poetic expression of the core emotions that we preserve in our hearts.
This poem is a beacon to drive a much needed change in society, because a beginning is the foundation of transformation!
Chhapaak is directed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by her as well as Deepika Padukone in collaboration with Fox Star Studios. Based on the life of Laxmi Agarwal, it stars Padukone as an acid attack survivor, alongside Vikrant Massey.
The film will be theatrically released in India on 10 January 2020.
