The makers of Tanhaji will soon release the much awaited theme song, Ghamand Kar from the film. This would mark the third song from the film, earlier we have seen Shankara Re Shankara and Maay Bhavani.
Actress Kajol just dropped the first look poster of the song on her social media profile. She captioned it, “Taandav sa yuddh kar, yuddh kar bhayankar. The song will be out tomorrow. Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is an upcoming biographical period action film starring Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan, Kajol, Jagapathi Babu and Sharad Kelkar. Directed by Om Raut, the film's narrative is set in the 17th century and based on the life of Tanaji Malusare, who was the military leader of King Chatrapati Shivaji maharaj, founder of the Maratha Empire.
In late 17th century, the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb declares strategic hill fortress Kondhana as the capital of Southern India from which he planned to expand Mughal Empire into South India.
However, The Maratha Emperor Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj orders his General Tanaji Malusare to capture Kondhana at any cost to protect Southern India from Mughal invasion, while the Mughal emperor sends his trusted commander Uday Bhan to defend the fortress, thus leading to a battle between the two armies for control of the fortress. The Battle is known as the Battle of Sinhagad which decided the fate of Southern India.
The movie also features Luke Kenny, Padmavati Rao, Devdatta Nage, Neha Sharma, Ajinkya Deo, Hardik Sangani and Nissar Khan.
The epic drama releases on 10th January 2020.
