Filmmaker Kabir Khan, who is currently directing ’83 The Film’ with Ranveer Singh, is all set to foray into digital space with a web-series titled ‘The Forgotten Army’ for Amazon Prime, the first official trailer for the same is out.
The official handle of Amazon Prime Video India dropped the teaser on digital platform. They captioned it, “This republic day, get ready to witness the untold true story of #TheForgottenArmy! @kabirkhankk @sunnykaushal89 #sharvari @ipritamofficial”
The Forgotten Army stars newbie Sunny Kaushal and Sharvari Wagh in the lead roles. The upcoming web series is based on true events. The series will tell the stories of the brave men and women who fought for the independence of India as part of the Indian National Army led by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.

The teaser starts with Azad Hind Fauj, as the army of Neta ji was called, is seen playing cricket in jungles and next you know there is firing from Chinese army and battle starts. The series explore the pre-independence and certain parts of post independence era. The web series about the Indian National Army will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video from January 24.
Kabir Khan’s next '83 will chronicle the historic win of Indian cricket team at the 1983 world cup. The film also stars Deepika Padukone, Harrdy Sandhu, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Amrita Puri, Jiiva, Ammy Virk,, Pankaj Tripathi, Sahil Khattar and Chirag Patil.
