Guwahati, Dec 17 (SocialNews.XYZ) The Indian Super League (ISL) match between NorthEast United (NEUFC) and Bengaluru FC that is to be played here on Wednesday will be open to spectators, the league said in a statement on Tuesday.
This comes only a day after the league had said that the match would be played behind closed doors.
"The Indian Super League Match 40 at Guwahati between NorthEast United FC and Bengaluru FC is now open to spectators, with 6:00 pm kick-off. Spectators are advised to take note of the new kick-off time and plan their arrival to the stadium accordingly. Gates will be opened at 4:00pm," the statement said.
Earlier on Monday, Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL) had said that the match would be played in front of empty stands in the wake of the protests that erupted in Guwahati against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the subsequent curfew that followed. It would have been the first instance of an ISL match being played behind closed doors.
Earlier, NEUFC's match against Chennaiyin FC in the city on December 12 was postponed due to the unrest.
