Actress Taapsee Pannu and filmmaker Anubhav Sinha are collaborating once again after super hit Mulk, the new film is titled Thappad and its first look and release date are out!
Thappad is directed and produced by Anubhav Sinha under his banner Benaras Media Works. The film features Taapsee Pannu, Arjun Kapoor, Manoj Pahwa, Sharman Joshi and Pavail Gulati in the lead roles. The film is based on a female-oriented subject that defies narratives typecasting women.

Taapsee, who is known to play strong roles, is all set to bring about another powerful character on the big screen in Anubhav Sinha's Thappad. The film marks Taapsee's reunion with Anubhav Sinha after 2018's Mulk.
Anubhav Sinha's last film Article 15 was hailed by critics. The film was based on caste discrimination.
Thappad is a women-centric film and which is why, the makers are releasing it on March 6, in the Women's Day week next year. The film is scheduled for release on 28 February 2020.
